The Meyers Motors Nelson Mandela Day Meal Drive was held on Friday the 16^th of July to honor Nelson Mandela’s legacy on his 103^rd Birthday. Meyers Motors donated 90 food parcels to celebrate their 90^th Birthday.

This was done for their Educare Centres that they have adopted in partnership with the Loaves and Fishers Network in East London. Loaves and fishers works with children to achieve sustainable, and holistic childcare training and development, in disadvantaged communities of the Eastern Cape Province, which includes Sifunda Sivuya Educare Centre in Phakamisa under King Williams Town and Sive Day-care in Nompumelelo situated on Beacon Bay East London which are adopted by Meyers Motors.

With the assistance from Meyers Motors staff and the management team, they were able to donate 90 meal packs for each child and parent respectively.

It was heart-warming making a difference in the families that need it the most during these tough Covid times. Meyers Motors will continue to look for ways to drive education within our region.
