Access to sanitary towels are still a challenge for many young women in our community. Dinika Rooy, a 31 year old mother of 1 founded Keep a Girl in School Charity in 2018. This initiative aims to provide Feminine hygiene products to the less fortunate and disadvantaged schools girls with the BCMM area. Primary Schools include Buffalo Flats Primary School, Duncan Village and Chalumna Primary schools to name a few.
To assist with this initiative Meyers Motors hosted its second annual Sanitary Pad Collection Drive. This year was a great success with over 1000 pads collected for the second year in a row. Schools that benefitted from this years drive include
Meyers Motors strives to drive education within the community, and essential items like sanitary towels should be freely available. This is an on-going cause we will be supporting throughout the year. If you would like to support, you can drop off your donation of sanitary towels and feminine hygiene products at any Meyers Motors Branch.
