Engine
The Subaru Outback Field, Touring and XT versions are offered with Subaru’s trusted 2.4 turbo or 2.5-litre naturally aspirated direct injection Boxer® Engine for peak performance, both in terms of safety and balance.
Performance
The flagship Outback XT delivers 183kW of power and 350Nm of torque and boasts its best braked towing capacity of 1800kg. The Subaru Outback Field & Touring versions are both offered with a 2.5-litre direct injection Boxer® Engine. Power is 138kW at 5,800rpm and maximum torque is 245Nm at 3,400 – 4600rpm. X-Mode is standard on all these models.
Technology
outback features the latest driver’s multi-function display and steering wheel as well as a new central display. The flagship outback 2.0-i S ES features the portrait layout larger HD display with the latest SUBARU infotainment system and a Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration as well as Bluetooth® connectivity for audio and phone call operation and a wireless phone charging pad. The infotainment system also operates the vehicle settings such as EyeSight Driver Assistance features and X-Mode settings to name a few.
Safety
There are 7 airbags included in the outback, including a driver’s knee and passenger seat cushion airbag as well as an airbag that deploys between the front seats to reduce the severity of collisions between the front seat occupants. These are segment-leading technologies. EyeSight® Driver Assistance technology features added peace of mind with features such as Pre-Collision Braking for emergencies; Lane Departure Prevention, Lane Centering and Emergency Lane Keep Assist; Adaptive Cruise Control with traffic crawling ability, traffic sign recognition and intelligent speed limiter.
