No matter what the terrain may be, from city streets to country roads and off the beaten track, the Peugeot Landtrek is capable in any situation, thanks to its 1.9-litre diesel engine that has 110kW or 148 hp, provided by variable geometry turbo and 16 valves. Paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox a chain timing gear that optimised maintenance costs.

The vehicle features a full-size spare wheel and a variety of protections: panel under the engine, swept-back headlamps, front and rear mud flaps, and more.
For four-wheel models, the front transmission is activated via a dedicated knob to transmit part of the power to the front axle. This allows the driver if needed to select either four-wheel drive normal 4H (4 high speed), or 4L mode (4 Low speed) with close-ratio gears. This latter mode increases torque at reduced speeds to drive on rough terrain with low grip or negotiate steep slopes.
Lastly, the rear differential is equipped with the eLocker mechanical system with automatic disengagement, which provides increased traction when a wheel skids.
